A small firm that reads the filings.
Bellwether Procurement LLC is a Wisconsin company, formed in 2026 and run by Terry Taylor. We are an independent telecom broker and an authorized Telarus partner, which gives us access to a couple of hundred carriers and suppliers without being captive to any of them.
How we are paid, and why that is on this page
The supplier pays us a residual on what you buy. You do not pay us for the audit and you do not pay us a fee.
That arrangement is worth stating rather than burying, because it is also the answer to "why would you tell me my current deal is fine?" A residual only continues while the service does. Putting a building on the wrong product to close a deal costs us the residual when it gets ripped out, plus the relationship. We are structurally better off telling you the truth, and it is fair to check that reasoning rather than take our word for it.
What we do not do
- We are not a carrier. We do not own network.
- We do not install. The supplier provisions, ports and rolls the truck.
- We are not a licensed engineer, contractor or code official, and nothing we produce is a compliance certification. Fire alarm (NFPA 72) and elevator (ASME A17.1) requirements vary by jurisdiction — confirm with your AHJ and the equipment manufacturer for the specific application.
What we do
- Track carrier retirement filings and elevator-code adoptions, and match them to your addresses.
- Read the bill line by line and work out what each line is actually attached to.
- Recommend a migration path per line, with the trade-offs written down.
- Negotiate and place the order, then audit the first invoices against what was quoted.
- Stay on the ticket when something breaks, which is the part most brokers stop doing after the commission clears.
